Publicity/Public Awareness Committee

Responsibilities:

• Advertise the Annual Conference in a way to reach all who are eligible for membership in the Council (Article III)

• Plan for Observance of “Child Support Awareness Month” at the Conference

• Prepare conference announcement and distribute to membership and all interested groups by utilization of the newsletter and other formats as directed by the Board of Directors.

• Advertise the CLE Judicial Tract in the December and March issue of Lawyers Weekly, if feasible.

• Contact the local television and print media

• Prepare press package for local media

• Arrange necessary press conferences

• Groups to consider when distributing Conference Announcement:

County Attorneys Conference

Clerks Conference

Chief District Court Judges Conference

Social Services Institute

Bar Association

Association of County Commissioners

Sheriff’s Association

Legislators

• Many of these groups will include the announcement in their programs or newsletters if given enough notice.
